The Greek islands never fail to leave a lasting impression and touch the soul with an artful suite of sweet sunsets, glorious vistas, and wild Mediterranean beauty. Nicole and Fil had their family and loved ones fly all the way from New York to attend their rustic-chic island wedding in Sifnos we couldn’t be happier to design. Their big day began at their luxury villa etched on the edge of a cliff to be followed by a traditional Orthodox ceremony at Panagia Chryssopigi, one of the island’s most iconic landmarks. Inspired by the languid vibes of their stone masoned venue, the Lazarou Beach restaurant, we drew upon its natural canvas, to bring them an elegant design that would blend traditional and modern touches. We offset vintage country-pieces for their welcome buffet and dessert station with sleek, straight lines, and eye-catching, artistic curves on their reception. Mahogany Verona Trestle tables, rustic patina elm consoles, and old vintage French oak chairs became the basis for us to employ metals and stainless to pop against natural wood. Dinnerplate dahlias, greenery, chysanthemum grandiflorum, cabbage roses, olive branches, and seeded eucalyptus were thoughtfully arranged into Nicole’s tasteful rustic wedding bouquet, as well as the reception’s runners across the tables.
