This chic Hindu wedding on Island Residence is all we need to look at to instantly put a smile on our faces. As marriage according to Hindu faith is made in heaven we made sure our beautiful Shefali and her Annerundha received all the blessings and beauty of their Athenian Riviera wedding to last for seven lifetimes.
Where gorgeously colorful traditions met a stunningly chic wedding decor brimming with elegant blooms, silky fabrics and a sea of lights, the bride and groom from Dubai paid homage to their forefathers, and their lineage with a long progression of dances, customs, a full ritual ceremony of philosophical and spiritual significance, but also with the most heartfelt and touching family speeches we have ever had the honor of witnessing.
Aneerundha arrived at our wedding venue in perfect style in a vintage private collection Mercedes to be greeted by the merriest crowd of family and friends who all gathered around him and was escorted by his parents singing and dancing to the wedding site in the baraat procession, as well as his best man who fended the rainfall of rose petals with a Rajasthani parasol. Gorgeous Shefali in her red gown was escorted by her maids of honor to the ceremonial mandap all festooned with cream and white garden roses and peonies.
Following the wedding’s beautiful 11 rituals the couple’s guests enjoyed their cocktail and early bespoke aperitivos on the terrace where an open candy bar with creations by Pavlov’s Lab awaited beautifully decorated with crystals and mirror gold and silver antique haute orfèvrerie , while the newlyweds returned with Shefali looking ravishing in her ball wedding dress in sweeping ruffles and gentle finesse. After the family’s speeches, dinner reception and a spectacular firework show Panjabi MC’s Mundian To Bach Ke initiated a dance party that lasted till morn.
We could not be more appreciative and thankful to this wonderful new family whose wedding journey to Greece we were so excited to have hosted. May your love become stronger every day!
Who offered this maiden?, to whom is she offered?
Kama (the god of love) gave her to me, that I may love her
Love is the giver, love is the acceptor
Enter thou, the bride, the ocean of love
With love then, I receive thee
May she remain thine, thine own, O god of love
Verily, thou art, prosperity itself
May the heaven bestow thee, may the earth receive thee
_from the Kanyadaan ritual
