Does wandering around in ethereal linen layers that float from wooden masts to the ocean-facing sandy cove, picking up lavish Moroccan homeware, fashion and jewelry, dancing to transcendental DJ beats and savouring Kosher ambrosia fits your part of reaching nirvana? Then you’ve got a slight hint of what went on at Kim & Oren’s luxe Moroccan-style Henna party at Alemagou Mykonos. For us as wedding designers, luxury is in the service and there’s no detail we would leave to chance to make the couple’s second pre-wedding celebration the stuff of dreams.
Now, if there is a place that sums up the slew of diversity and richness of Morocco, this is certainly the countless souk markets, but designing a destination wedding in Greece did not hinder us from merging in the excitement. We set up an entire market where the guests could wander and pick up colorful presents to their hearts’ content, ornate lamps, hand of Hamsa pendants, straw hats and fez-hats, berber cushions, clutches, beach bags, Balgha slippers, Tagine pots and ceramics, and of course the couple’s signed bon-bon boxes.
Barefoot luxe is definitely the way to treat a Mykonos party so we made certain that everyone could easily keep their Hermes kicks tucked in their beach bags and walk around comfy on embroidered carpets, handira blankets and Moroccan pouffes to enjoy a bird’s eye view of the party scene. As the couple had arranged for the exclusive Festival Mibely, an impressive section of artists who arrived from Paris to cover the entire 4 day bash, it was certain no one would miss the chance to let go of the world and switch on to the island’s natural high.
