Tara and Omar chose Athens as the destination that suited them both best for their stately and classic style wedding and romantic spirit. They flew their family and friends from Dubai to the city of Gods to make this dream come true.
It couldn’t have been a sunnier day in July as Athens is a true sparkler during haute summer!
Tara had her bridal preparations presence of her family in the Divani luxury suite the couple chose for their stay, and Omar and his groomsmen got prepped nearby. A superb space Island Private Residence in the Athenian Riviera, with magnificent views of the sea, provided the perfect scene for their ceremony.
We conjured up all the couples pretty decoration details to match their classic style with white florals, lavish greenery and classic rustic centerpieces that made a lovely statement in the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets and in the table centerpieces. We have a great affection for gold and were so happy to style the reception with all kinds of golden accents, ranging from the eye (and mouth) candy elements of their dessert station, their ornate decorative pieces and of course their regal wedding cake. One of our favorite pieces that created a sensation was a massive crown-crested photobooth gazebo styled with lush ivory blooms.
All the couple’s guests upon arrival enjoyed their cocktails waiting for the couple to make their big entrance, while several Greek customs infused in their wedding etiquette: the all-Greek ‘koufeta’ the hard and sweet sugar covered almonds that symbolize the joys and persistence in marriage, the tossing of rice and rose petals an allusion to fertility, abundance and a rose paved future together, and the welcoming of the bride with music, with a violinist playing the couple’s favorite tune to salute the bride. As it is accustomed the groom arrived first and got tossed in the air by his friends, with the bride announced by her colorfully dressed bridesmaids and delivered by her father in an utterly happy atmosphere, and the two became one!
