If medieval villages and ocean views spark your fancy, you may want to press pause on your day and dive in deep to today’s elegant blue and white wedding in stunning Santorini. Ellie and Jad’s destination nuptials are totally sublime from her to embroidered strapless gown to the ruffled petal cake sharing the spotlight with a generous assortment of custom sweet treats in the dessert display. So pop on some Frank Sinatra, dim the lights and admire this exquisite Grecian affair with us, darling!
Leaving no piece of pretty uncaptured, Greg Finck wows us with these breathtaking images that show off all the best things classic Grecian village has to offer.
And my, oh, my will we be stuck marveling at these designs from The Twelve Events like a record on repeat. The all-white palette is enhanced by subtle touches of blue ranging from cornflower to sky, and the chic textures of velvet and glass bring it up to a whole new level.
From the event and floral designer, The Twelve Events: Ellie and Jad always dreamt of getting married in Santorini and wished to keep things elegant for their big day. So we got to work creating a scene that was equal parts modern, delicate and chic at the Nafsika Estate Vedema Resort in the medieval village of Megalohori. White pedestal trestle mirror topped dining tables paired to white tiffany chairs set the perfect tone on the poolside terrace, where layers of mirror stands, Beaulieu buttoned french stools, and classic Mossonnier armchairs, completed the look.
As our bride’s vision for something blue went beyond her bridal trousseau we infused our white floral arrangements putting together orchids, garden roses, and peonies with white and blue hydrangeas and delphinium to add a pop and give a subtle nod to the ever-shifting palette of Santorini’s skies.
We presented the couple’s seating chart on an antique mirror where gold ink hand calligraphy by Manousenia Design was applied to actual leaves, while two stunning organza draped dessert stations strewn with stunning pastries and hydrangea painted biscuits by master patissier Pavlov’s Lab proved an attraction in and of themselves, as did the rare shade of indigo blue on our flatware.
As the sun began to take a plunge Ellie and Jad wed under a VanGogh inspired arch of greenery, calming cream hydrangeas and wisteria that kept dancing in the breeze. The couple’s cake was a great mix of elegance and romance with fresh hydrangeas running along to the top. We were so excited to work with the couple’s incredibly talented photographer Greg Finck who captured the entire palette of Santorini’s ambiance so masterly.
