Of all the places I’ve visited over the years, Greece stands out as the most magical. Unfortunately we didn’t get to make it to Ios Island, but this inspiration shoot from Anna Roussos Photography and The 12 Events has me dreaming of a return visit to the country! This talented team of vendors refers to Ios Island as a hidden paradise, and it’s easy as pie to figure out why. The shoot makes use of local artisans and other vendors to create a gem of a wedding setup, making for not only picture-perfect design, but also Eco-friendly!
From the team of vendors: In the center of Cyclades Islands, between Mykonos and Santorini, lies a small jewel: Ios Island. We selected this hidden paradise because of its kilometers of unspoiled sandy beaches, turquoise waters, picturesque villages and spectacular sunsets! A fairy tale scenery for our inspirational styled shoot! Our venue, Ios Club, situated on top of a rocky hill next to the ancient temple of Apollo, offers a breathtaking view of the Aegean Sea and an even more stunningly beautiful view of the sunset. The bohemian-chic style of our shoot ideally combines with the minimal architecture of Ios Club, the rocky surroundings and the amazing color palette of the sky, to create a truly unique outcome that the lens of the charismatic photographer Anna Roussos perfectly captures.
All the gorgeous decoration details and flowers were carefully chosen by The 12 Events wedding planners. The invitations, favors and traditional wedding breads were created by the talented Be My Guest team who always incorporate in their creations, the Cycladic spirit, such as the characteristic whitewashed walls of the typical cycladic house depicted by a stroke of plaster on the invitations and favors. The superb macramés and dream catchers were hand-made by the young Athenian artist Boho Choco. The elegant wedding gown comes from the Costarellos Collection and the hand made wedding shoes are from the Italian brand, Madame Pivot, that specializes in tango and wedding shoes. The team of vendors is completed by the Santorini-based Spicy Bites caterers who created the scrumptious and beautifully-presented Mediterranean dishes. We truly hope this photo shooting will inspire many brides planning their island wedding and make them want to discover Ios island and what it has to offer.
